Curacao issues new version of Florin currency

According to recent news released by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CENTRALE BANK CURACAO & SINT MAARTEN), Curaçao will issue a new version of the florin currency from March 31, 2025. Between March 31 and June 30, 2025, both the old and new versions of the florin can be used in circulation. Between July 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, the old version of the florin currency in circulation can be exchanged for free at commercial banks. Between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2055, the old version of the florin currency can only be exchanged at the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.
