The National Bank of Belarus has unveiled a new 200-ruble banknote of the 2026 series.

“The banknote’s design is conceptually similar to the current 200-ruble note in circulation but has a number of differences. The security features have also been upgraded.”, the official central bank statement said.

The National Bank had previously updated the 5-, 10-, 20-, 50- and 100-ruble banknotes. Those were issued in 2019–2022.

The new banknote bears the signature of current Chairman of the National Bank Board Raman Halouchanka. It also includes the name of the architectural landmark depicted — “Mahiliou Regional Art Museum named after P.V. Maslenikau”.

Comprehensive anti-counterfeit improvements are implemented, including enhanced security thread and optimized watermark. Old-format 200-ruble banknotes remain full legal tender and will circulate in parallel indefinitely.
